‘A terrific performance of Messiaen’s Quartet for the End of Time’ Donald Macleod,BBCRadio3(EasteratKing’s,2013)

Following on from sell out concerts during 2014 it is a great pleasure to welcome back the Goldfield Ensemble.

Founded in 2011, the Ensemble has quickly established itself as a high calibre, proactive chamber group with a reputation for innovative programming and events embracing lesser-known and unusual repertoire.

The players are a vibrant mix of experienced soloists, chamber musicians, orchestral players and scholars, each bringing a unique perspective to repertoire and performance, and have appeared with a roll call of the UK’s top orchestras, including the Britten Sinfonia, London Sinfonietta, London Chamber Orchestra, Royal Philharmonic Orchestra, English Chamber Orchestra, Academy of St Martin in the Fields and BBC SO.

The Goldfield Ensemble’s musical flair and creative programming has already resulted in invitations to perform at the Huddersfield Contemporary Music Festival, the English Music Festival and the Kings Place, London.

Stapleford Granary provides an ideal venue for chamber music and a privileged opportunity to hear this exciting ensemble in intimate surroundings.
