In today’s workshop Gary Ryan will be performing a solo recital and offering advice to all students on technique, posture, interpretation, practice and performance.

This is a great opportunity to meet and work with Gary in a relaxed and supportive musical environment and to get valuable tips on how to improve your playing.

All acoustic guitarists are welcome at this workshop but you will need to have at least basic notation reading skills. Numbers are limited to 25 to enhance the learning experience.  

There will be an end of course recital at 17.30. Audience members are welcome, donations invited.

Instrument and minimum grade: Open to guitar players of all ages and abilities but you will need at least basic notation reading skills.

Artist biog

GARY RYAN is the first guitarist since John Williams in 1983 to be made a Fellow of the Royal College of Music and was presented with the award by HRH The Prince of Wales.
Renowned for his entertaining and varied recital programmes, Gary is currently Assistant Head of Strings at the Royal College of Music in London.
