The Royal College of Music’s James Halsey leads a day of group technique sessions, ensemble playing, demonstrations, performance classes and a concert.
Cello players of all ages will enjoy this special day, whether a beginner, preparing for an exam or audition, or just wishing to brush up their skills in a fun and supportive environment. Participants will receive expert feedback and encouragement to improve their playing.
James will give a lunchtime recital at 13.15 for all participants and families involved in the day.
Instrument and minimum grade: Cello G1-4

James Halsey is a Professor in the Royal College of Music Junior Department and is director of the Aboyne Cello Festival. James plays regularly with the Bingham Quartet and the Tagore String Trio.
