This novel is a powerful retelling of Shakespeare’s King Lear, set in modern India. Winner of the prestigious Desmond Elliot Prize, the book explores power, money and social injustice in the corporate world of New Delhi. It also looks at the painful effects of partition in Kashmir.
Preti will read from this fascinating book and talk about her ideas. There will be a chance for audience members to ask questions.
