The recently formed Bergonzi Trio began its life in the bowels of the UK’s finest theatres. As members of the Northern Ballet Sinfonia, Winona, Toby and Andrew began playing together whilst on tour, spending many an enjoyable afternoon reading through the rich canon of piano trio repertoire. 
 
Violinist Winona Fifield was born in New York City and studied at the Juilliard School and Indiana University with renowned pedagogue Josef Gingold.  She has been a guest leader with the Seattle Symphony and has been invited to play in guest principal positions with the London Philharmonic, the Royal Liverpool Philharmonic, the BBC Philharmonic, and the Rotterdam Philharmonic. She plays regularly with the Academy of St Martin in the Fields and is Principal 2nd Violin of Northern Ballet Sinfonia. Winona is privileged to play a 1790’s Cremonese violin by Carlo Bergonzi II. 
As an orchestral and chamber musician Toby  Turton works for such orchestras as the Royal Philharmonic Orchestra, Philharmonia etc. He has worked as a principal cellist with Northern Ballet Sinfonia, Royal Ballet Sinfonia and as a co-principal for Bournemouth Symphony Orchestra, Opera North and the Royal Scottish National Orchestra. Toby is also cellist in the Goldfield Ensemble chamber group with whom he has performed at many of the UK's leading venues including the Huddersfield Contemporary Music Festival, Cheltenham Festival, The English Music Festival, St Johns Smith Square and Kings Place. Toby has also performed over one hundred cello and piano recitals across the UK and currently plays with the pianist Rebecca Holt.
Born in the West Highlands of Scotland, Andrew Dunlop gained a First Class BMus (hons) and MMus with distinction on Full Scholarship at the Royal Northern College of Music, Manchester. As a Fulbright Scholar, he gained his DMA at the Eastman School of Music, NY, USA. In addition to his work as Company Pianist for Northern Ballet, Andrew works as an examiner for ABRSM, teaches for Yorkshire Young Musicians and runs Lorn Live Chamber Music Festival in Oban, Argyll.
